The Octopus Labs Dispatch
Some of the most creative and responsive technology-based ideas come from the youngest consumers. That’s why Octopus is proud to be a sponsor of Apps for Good, a charity that helps budding young entrepreneurs create tech products that tackle problems or issues they care about. On 20th June, finalists taking part in the nationwide Apps for Good competition will meet for its annual presentation ceremony. And Labs’ own Tcha Wilson will be among the judges.

On 11th May, London’s Tobacco Dock will once again welcome 1,200 leading women in technology for a day of interactive panel discussions, talks and workshops.
For many businesses, IT departments are responsible for maintaining the current business functions, and kept hidden away from any sexy innovation, design or developments going on. But, with Octopus increasingly becoming a digitally-led business, Labs realised it needed to change all that.

Last week, HM Government hosted the International Fintech Conference 2017 – a new fixture on the calendar designed to attract more investment into the UK’s world-leading fintech sector. Alongside Sir Tim Berners Lee, the inventor of the World Wide Web, and Governor of the Bank of England Mark Carney, our very own Richard Wazacz, CEO of Labs, spoke on a panel at the first event of its kind.
